Fishing
The fishing around Angel Fire is fantastic, and the trout are hungry. The Cimarron River is full of rainbow and brown trout, and it's only 20 minutes away. You can see the beauty of the river and the canyon in these two photos. (That's our daughter-in-law Jeanne on the left and our son Olaf on the right.) Other excellent fisheries include the Red River, the astonishingly beautiful Valle Vidal section of the Rio Costilla, Eagle Nest Lake, and many, many smaller streams.

The following links will help you find information about area rivers and lakes, guide services, and gear dealers. Even if you don't need a guide, these are a great way to get a sense of what the waters look like.
